A little about me...

I'm using this webspace as a repository for photos from my travels and the occasional blog post.

I started posting content to my personal site around mid-2003. Since then I've traveled around the interior of the U.S., visited five or six countries in Europe and even lived in Germany for a while. If you care to take a look at my photos and videos, they can be found by clicking the links at the top of the page.

On June 12, I saw Sigur Rós live at the Uptown Theater in Kansas City. This was the first time I was able to see Sigur Rós live. The last time they were in town in 2006 I was living in Germany. The band is only making a few stops around the U.S. ahead of the release of their new album með suð í eyrum við spilum endalaust. Below are a couple pictures from the show and a few videos.

Bamberg is a diocese and, as such, is the seat of the Bishop of Bamberg. The Erzbistum Bamberg (diocese of Bamberg) was established in 1007 and the first cathedral in Bamberg was built in the year 1012. Saint Michaelsberg, the largest monastery in the area was founded in 1015 by Benedictine monks. The church at Michaelsberg houses the tomb of Saint Otto of Bamberg.
