A Midsummer Birthday Dinner
Here are a few pictures of the Shrimp Linguine Alfredo pasta I made for Sarah's birthday last week.

The recipe was pretty simple, not a whole lot of ingredients. The shrimp were cooked with chopped onion, garlic and olive oil then removed from the pan. Just add a cup of half-and-half to the pan with the onions and garlic, and stir. Add parmesan cheese to the pan to help the sauce thicken and squeeze in a little lemon juice.

The wine we drank with the pasta was a Silvaner that we brought back from Würzburg earlier this summer. Franconian Silvaner is crisp without being dry and sweet without being fruity. It went very well with the shrimp pasta.

A perfect bite. Whole wheat linguine covered in alfredo with a whole shrimp on the fork.
