Saint Louis Zoo
After lunch at Schlafly's Tap Room, we made our way to the Saint Louis Zoo. The zoo is located in Forrest Park, near the site of the 1904 World's Fair.

The bears were taking turns cooling off in the pool.
Humboldt Penguins outside of the penguin house. The temperature inside the habitat was around 50°F but outside it was in the mid 80s. These penguins come from Peru and prefer the warmer weather outside of the habitat.

The kangaroos were being fed while we were there. This guy was trying to scratch his back.
The tigers weren't up to much...
All of the action was in the giraffe pen. Here you can see an ostrich staring down a young giraffe. Below is a video of the giraffe and ostrich playing.
