On June 12, I saw Sigur Rós live at the Uptown Theater in Kansas City. This was the first time I was able to see Sigur Rós live. The last time they were in town in 2006 I was living in Germany. The band is only making a few stops around the U.S. ahead of the release of their new album með suð í eyrum við spilum endalaust. Below are a couple pictures from the show and a few videos.


Sigur Rós opened their set with svefn-g-englar, one of their oldest songs, but still one of their best.


The band only played a few songs from their new album, the highlight was definitely gobbledigook. In the picture you can see everyone is on stage with a drum of some kind, it was really cool.
