Kansas

This is Olive. She's our 4 month old puppy from Wayside Waifs in Kansas City. She's a Husky/Australian Cattle Dog mix, very good looking and mostly well behaved. She needs a lot of attention and stuff to chew on. I think we'll get along alright.

A couple weeks ago I was invited to the release party for Boulevard Brewing Company's first collaboration beer. The Imperial Pilsner is a Smokestack Series beer that was brewed collaboratively by Boulevard and Orval's brewmasters. Here I am getting my picture taken with Steven Pauwels of Boulevard and Jean-Marie Rock of Orval.

We spent the second weekend of September volunteering with the harvest at the Somerset Ridge Winery near Louisburg, Kansas.

This is a little bit out of order but I thought it was worth going back to. About a month and a half ago I wrote a guest blog for the food blog Macheesmo. The spot was a write up about homemade mustard recipes I'd been playing around with. The article was published about a month ago and I thought I'd follow up on here by posting the rest of pictures from that set.

It's only early June but so far this summer I've been to Europe and back, spent a weekend in Saint Louis, launched a couple websites, read a couple books and even had a recipe published by a popular food blog. Here are some of the pictures I've taken since getting back from Germany:

Today we made a pizza with a crust stuffed with Buffalo chicken pieces. It was topped with spaghetti sauce, waffle fries, mozzarella and cheddar cheese, sausage, diced onions, tomatoes, olives and dill pickles.
